Great news, everyone! My cover for my Bookland prequel, Somewhat Before, is here, and it is spectacular! I’m sure I’ll be doing a cover reveal at some point if you follow me on the socials. Or you can just see it when it comes out.

It’ll be available on Amazon to buy, or it’ll be completely free for my newsletter subscribers. If you’re already a subscriber—you’re in! I’ll be emailing you a free copy early next week. Hopefully. If technology smiles upon me. Let us hope that it does.

It’s finally June, which makes me happy. I’ve got nothing against May, of course. But there’s just something about summer that’s so nice. Maybe it’s the sunshine or reliable sweltering heat, I don’t know. I love waking up every morning and knowing the weather without having to check.

And it’s not like my sweaters don’t still get plenty of wear, because sometimes the air conditioning is so cold inside. Not at my house, of course. We keep it a balmy seventy-three degrees year-round. (Sometimes I do still wear my sweater around the house, though. Just to be cozy.)

We’ve been rewatching Boy Meets World with our kids. I definitely prefer the earlier seasons. We’re halfway through season seven, and I’m asking myself how Cory could have learned so much every week for years and still be so stupid.

After each episode, I say something like…okay, guys, remember how Cory did this thing this episode? Don’t do that. I’m sure they would have figured it out on their own because I’ve got really great kids, but I find with parenting, it always helps to be as clear as possible and to overcommunicate such that there can be no doubt whatsoever what you mean.

I’m continuing to work on drafting Somewhat Unreal, book two in the Bookland series. I’m really excited to share that one with you all because it’s told from Ava’s viewpoint, which is fun. I hope you all will come to love Ava as much as I do.

Well, it is five o’clock on a Friday afternoon, so I’ll have to sign off and go devote myself to intentional rest and relaxation. Happy weekend, everyone!
