We’re in the semi-finals of Fat Bear Week. Last night, there was a big Fat Bear scandal, with Holly accumulating votes very quickly. It looked like she was going to overtake 747, but after they looked into it, they concluded that Holly was receiving fraudulent votes.

The championship is tomorrow. It’s going to be 747 vs either Grazer or 901. I voted for 901 today, but I don’t know yet who will win. I’d be happy with either bear. They are both fat.

Also, I found out that there is a merch store full of Fat Bear merchandise, and I’m trying very hard not to buy it all, but it’s hard. They have an Otis shirt and Otis is probably my favorite bear, even though objectively, he’s probably not all that fat this year.

I’m worried my dishwasher repair guy is ghosting me. He was supposed to show up today from 1-4, but so far I haven’t heard anything from him. I suppose the reasonable thing to do would be to call and ask, but I might would rather wash the dishes by hand than have to make a phone call.

I don’t know why the phone calls bother me so much. I just really hate them. It feels like my mind can’t quite work fast enough to say the right things, and I can’t smile at the person so they know I’m not a hostile, plus I have to try to remember everything the other person said later, because sometimes it’s important.

I just would prefer it if people would mostly communicate via written form. It’s easier for me, and I would think that everyone would want to do whatever is easiest for me.

I’ve been working on the formatting of Somewhat Alive. I think the hardest part is probably having to write the book description. I know it’s probably the most important thing, after having a decent cover, as far as convincing people to read my book and give it a chance, but it’s so hard to write it.

I was thinking next book I start writing, I’m just going to write an amazing book description first and then write the book to match. Saves time.
