I’m going to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party soon. I just hope it doesn’t rain. Everyone please think anti-rain thoughts with me. It’s not the end of the world if it rains, just I really don’t want it to.

If it rains, the Headless Horseman cannot ride, and we have to see the Headless Horseman ride. That’s why we go.

Of course if it rains too much, we can always go to Guest Services and try to get replacement tickets. I hear the Halloween party is sold out for the rest of the year, but they might be willing to give us Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party instead. We’ll see.

I usually don’t mind the rain, especially if it’s a day where I can stay home and enjoy the coziness of it being rainy outside while dry inside. I don’t like the rain much if I have to be out in it though.

I’m in the process of switching over all my writing from Dabble Writer to Scrivener. I’ve been happy with Dabble, but Scrivener has more options and capabilities that Dabble doesn’t. More importantly, I really do prefer to pay for something once and own it forever rather than having to pay for something monthly forever.

Monthly subscriptions really do add up. It’s too bad, because I love subscription boxes and would happily sign up for a million, if the monthly fees wouldn’t end up being ten million a month.

I’ve tentatively selected a designer I’m going to ask to design my cover for me. I really like her style and portfolio, so I’m hoping she can make something amazing for me. I’m working on figuring out formatting first though. I suspect September is going to go by awfully fast in a bit here.

There’s really no hurry or reason why the book has to be released exactly 30 days from the last post I made to Kindle Vella, but you know. I like to feel like I’m making progress, which is easier if I keep going with publishing things.

I was actually thinking about if I ought to create my own publishing company to publish my books under. You never know. Someday in the future, I could see myself wanting to publish other people’s books, too. I even thought up the perfect name—Happy Bear Books. It was going to have a killer logo, featuring a happy bear.

Sadly, the name is already taken. So, I guess we’ll have to wait and see if another name strikes me or not.
