I have big dreams for this website. I want to add a reader magnet so I can start growing my email list. Everyone assures me that is important. I just to figure out what that would be. I could write some sort of novella that goes in the Somewhat Alive universe. Or eventually, once the rest of the series is finished, I could just give away Somewhat Alive.

I do need to write the sequels at some point.

I also want to add more interactive elements and things to support Somewhat Alive. I’d love to figure out how to embed a video game about Zoey into my website. Sure, I may not know how to program, but that’s a minor detail. I am quite good at BB code…

I’d also like to create a park map of Bookland. It’d be awesome if I could make sort of a MMRPG. That’s probably a lofty goal and may be difficult to do using only BB code. I may have to learn HTML.

Did anybody else used to play VMK back in the day? I loved that game. I don’t know why they shut it down. I don’t like to brag, but I had several full princess costumes, plus a pirate costume. I should probably rewrite my query letter to include that info. All the agents rejecting me would not be so quick to pass if they knew that.

Just now, I’m sitting here, typing up my thoughts, after a rousing game of tennis at the park, when I carelessly reach back and run my fingers through my hair. I straightened my hair today so it’s shiny and smooth and running my fingers through it is quite doable.

But I felt something odd in my hair…something hard and plasticky and round. As I was contemplating what that thing was in my hair…it moved.

I grasped the thing and firmly pulled it out of my hair (#brave) and then courageously squealed and dropped it on the floor. It was a beetle. In my hair.

Go outside, they said. It’ll be fun, they said.

I may need to shave my whole head at this point. It’s the only way.

Also, do not worry, we deposited the beetle outdoors and he seems unharmed. But perhaps he will be wiser in his choice of heads in the future. Why does the nature always try to get on me?
