Kindle Vella FAQs
What is Kindle Vella?
Kindle Vella is Amazon’s serial publishing platform, similar to Wattpad or Radish. It lets authors release their stories one episode, or chapter, at a time.
How do I read Vella stories?
Kindle Vella is browser-based, so you don’t need a Kindle or a special app. Just click the link, and you’ll have a plethora of Vella stories to read. Of course, it’s best to read Somewhat Alive first…
Also, you can like, fave, and follow Kindle Vella stories. All of those things really help out the authors, so if you’re up for it, you’ll be making authors very happy.
Is Kindle Vella free?
The first three episodes of every Kindle Vella story is completely free to read! After that, each consecutive episode can be unlocked using tokens, which can be purchased from Amazon. Amazon often will give you free tokens to get you started.
What if I really hate the Kindle Vella format?
If you hate the format, you’re not alone! Don’t worry, all of my books will be released in Kindle format after they have been up on Vella for the appropriate amount of time. It’s a relatively new platform and one that I’m pretty excited about exploring, but I know it’s not for everyone.
